Recently planted in the fertile grounds of the North Coast Seed Studios, Scott Erwert is enjoying new artistic growth. His influences have a range from early American jazz culture to the topography of urban development bordered by wilderness. Scott is a student of the modern masters as well as his current compatriots.
Scott has exhibited all along the West Coast, including: Exhibitchin’ at SFMOMA; Star Wars Celebration fan conventions where he is one of only 50 artists in the world licensed by Lucasfilm; Gallery One Embarcadero; Oakland Museum of California; Ghetto Gourmet cultural events; Art Explosion studios; and non-profits including CAP Art Auction, American Diabetes Assoc, and the Raising A Reader literacy program. His artwork graces CD covers, wine labels, Portland-based liquor labels, billboards, posters, and enough books to stock a decent library.
North Coast Seed Studios, where the music and clatter of railroad, city traffic, and Willamette River intersect, offers him an ideal environment to harvest new ideas and evolve.
